We investigate electrochemical materials, chemistries, and processes aimed at solving societal challenges in energy and the environment, particularly in energy storage and recycling. Strategically, we seek to understand and control the macroscopic material properties, device performance, and process outcomes up from the molecular level. Advanced electrochemical methods and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy are cornerstones of our work. Thematically, our research lies at the interface between chemical engineering, physical chemistry, electrochemistry, and materials science.
